I offer official American Hinoki prototype blades to blade collectors. These blades are marked as prototypes on the blade face. After I cut a blade out I put rubbers on prior to making and gluing on the handle. I then play with the blade. If the blade shows potential as a blade I will offer, I remove the rubber and do final sanding of the blade, make and glue the handle and seal the blade. All prototypes cost $150.00 Who knows, one day when American Hinoki is as big as Butterfly these blades might be valuable :).
